kd cali tee

By Chris Rockwell

I’ve got two hot girls are on my living room floor on their hands and knees and they’re sorting through the new King Duce T-shirts that just arrived. The girls happen to be my wife and her friend Tiffeny. It’s a good scene. I’m sitting here quietly writing this and watching them giggle between drinks while they take inventory. But I’m sure this could be considered sweat shop working conditions since they’re doing it for dinner and drinks. The shirts were previewed last week by rap legend E-40, producer Droop-E, Superbowl champ running back Michael Pittman and other celebrities last week and the response was big. It meant a lot to have them show us love for the work we’re doing. And of course Lace Leno gave us the best review of the night before going onstage wearing one of the new KD Cali Tees when he shouted out, “…that’s Federal!”

Earlier that day I headed down to the local skate park and met up with our BMX rider Thomas Adams and his crew to get their response. Thomas threw the KD Cali T on and the rest of the riders instantly demanded their own. As I was handing out the new stickers, some little shit talking kid with a big smile rolled up, introduced himself as “Big Jeffery” and made sure he got his KD Rasta Tee before the bigger boys could claim it. A small fight broke out over it but quickly turned to joking and arm punches. The shirts are all limited editions and sold exclusively in our online store.
